This weekend my 3430 passed the 50 hr. mark and it is now time for the initial service. Just like the owners manual stated the "service inspect" light came on as soon as the hourmeter hit 50. I am going to do the service myself and I have one question - after the service is complete what is the proper procedure for resetting the "service inspect" light? I have looked for this information in the owners manual but I have been unable to locate this information. Any assistance you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

After you complete your service, wtih the IntelliPanel in hour-meter mode, press both display mode and travel speed buttons and hold for 2 seconds or more. If your service manual is the same as mine, the info is on page 42, at the bottom of the first (left) column. You'll get to know your tractor a lot better after the service/inspection. I just passed 400 hours so I have about the same work, plus a few more items, as you have.
Hope this helps,
bliz ....

Thanks for the help Bliz. I felt sure that one of you guys had been through this already. Have you had any problems with your tractor? So far mine has performed very well but seeing that you have reached the 400 hr. mark I am curious what your experience has been. Again, thanks for the assistance. ....

RobbieF,
So far the thing is bulletproof. See some big pictures of my tractor at the link below, but they are slow to load on a dialup connection.
One small problem I had about 20 hours ago was that some mud and sticks got lodged in the cover by the power steering linkage and popped the rubber boot off the ball joint. I cleaned the joint out with solvent, regreased and reinstalled the boot. I'll probably check it on the next 50 hour service, and make sure to wash up that area before the mud dries if I get mired again. I don't feel this is a fault in the design of the tractor at all, as I was way too deep in mud and trash for any 'normal' operation.
Before your service, check if you have a Metric Allen wrench to fit the drain plug for the hydraulics, if you have the flush type plug installed on your machine. A decent torque wrench and metric sockets are also handy for getting things tight to specs without danger of stripping or breaking any bolts.
Good Luck, and work safely,
bliz ....

Bliz,
Thanks for the advice. I have got all of the tools you mentioned with the possible exception of the metric allen wrench - I'll have to check. Great pictures! I am very impressed with some of the places you have had your tractor and I'm sure the differential lock has came in handy on more than one occasion. I'm glad to hear that your tractor has been rock solid. Hopefully my tractor will prove to be as reliable as yours has been to date. So far it has been great. Keep enjoying your tractor and I appreciate the service tips/advice. ....

Hello, I need advice. I have a L4330 Kubota and need to know if I can do the 100 hour maintenance by myself. I have no problem draining fluids and replacing or lubricating. Is that the extent of it or do you have to remove tires or jack it up? How much time does it take?

Thanks

Lakeman ....
